Life Groups are designed to provide consistent, year-round groups where people can grow as disciples of Jesus through Biblical community. These groups are meant to model the early church (Acts 2:42) by providing a space for fellowship, sharing a meal, discussion around God’s word, and prayer. Life Groups meet year-round with intentional breaks to help foster healthy rhythms and consistent community.

Our Life Groups are now live and available for you to join! Click the button below to find your Life Group.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Our Life Groups are modeled after Acts 2:42 “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.”

So each life group has a time for fellowship, a sharing of a meal together, a discussion centered around Sunday's message/God's word, and a time for prayer.

  • Everyone! We would love for all people who call Queen City Church home to be a part of a Life Group, but they are also open to people outside of our church (no matter where they are at in their faith journey).

Life Groups are categorized into either stage of life (examples include Young Adults, Young Professionals, Married couples, Married with children, Single Adults, Empty Nesters, etc.) OR are location based (meaning they include all ages and are in a specific neighborhood or area of the city).

  • Life Groups will kick off in February 2024.

  • At anytime! These groups are designed in a way for people to be able to jump in at anytime during the year.

  • Life Groups will meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays of the second, third, and fourth weeks of every month from February - November. Leaders determine the time that each group starts, but they will be anywhere from 5-9 PM.

  • Each Life Group will contain four things: a time for fellowship, a sharing of a meal together, a discussion centered around Sunday's message/God's word, and a time for prayer.

  • Each Life Group will have the option to decide if the group is child friendly or not. However, we also offer Life Groups that are family friendly.

The format for these unique Life Groups are as follows:

    - Moms meet together with other moms on the second week of the month while dads watch the kids.

    - Dads meet together with other dads on the third week of the month while moms watch the kids.

    - The entire family meets together with the other families in the Life Group on the fourth week of the month.

If you're interested in this type of Life Group, please be sure to check out the directory to find one nearest you or reach out to groups@queencitypeople.com.

  • Dinner will be provided from a combined effort of those who attend the Life Group. Each Life Group's leaders will be responsible for coordinating dinner between them and their group members. We never want the responsibility of dinner to fall on a few but rather be accomplished from a community effort. Imagine a potluck or family thanksgiving where everyone brings something to share.

  • We want to create a culture of commitment in group members as well. Our heart is this: “We make recommendations, you make decisions.” Our recommendation is for people to commit to one Life Group for at least 3 months before trying another group. If that group is not for you, our team is happy to help you find another group that fits better.

  • Our goal is for them to be around 15-20 people so that you can get to know the people in your group, but we also want to have a multiplication mindset (which means once groups get to max capacity, we will multiply them so that other people can join). Picture an outward facing circle.

  • There are three different roles to choose from when leading a Life Group. For more information and training on this, stay tuned for updates on this page.
