Life Groups are designed to provide consistent, year-round groups where people can grow as disciples of Jesus through Biblical community. These groups are meant to model the early church (Acts 2:42) by providing a space for fellowship, sharing a meal, discussion around God’s word, and prayer.

How to join a group
Here’s how you can join a group:
Sign up for a text notification for when groups open (they open in February, May, and September each year)!
When groups open, we have a few short videos we’d love for you to watch that explain the heart, vision, and commitment that come with being a part of Life Groups.
Once you complete those videos, you’ll fill out a very brief form and we’ll send you a list of available groups to join! You’re welcome to join a group that’s convenient to your location or that best fits your stage of life. All Life Groups generally follow the same format.

Our Life Group leaders are vital to creating opportunities for people to experience biblical community.
Each group has at least three leaders and our team provides training, content, ideas, and support to create an amazing experience for our leaders.

Life Groups are designed to help people grow and become disciples through Biblical community. Biblical community in our context is defined as a group of people who are intentionally following Jesus together (this is God’s plan throughout Scripture and modeled through the Gospels and Jesus’ relationship with his disciples as well as the early Church).

What happens at Life Groups is modeled after Acts 2:42 (NLT): “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.”
4 things happen every time a Life Group meets: fellowship/hanging out, food, discussion centered around Sunday’s message or a discipleship related topic, and prayer.

Life Groups are for people who are looking to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus and want to do so with others. In addition, they are for people who are looking to commit, prioritize, and value being at Life Group when it happens, and are willing to communicate to their leaders when they aren’t.
We would love for all people who call Queen City Church home to be a part of a Life Group, but they are also open to people outside of our church (no matter where they are at in their faith journey). However, we highly recommend people who attend other churches to find community in their church context. -
Life Groups vary in size based on the size of the host home, but ideally, we believe that biblical community is best facilitated with around 14-16 people (a little larger for family groups).

Life Groups will meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays of the second, third, and fourth weeks of every month from February - November. Leaders determine the time that each group starts, but they will be anywhere from 5-9 PM.

Life Groups are available to join in the months of February, May, and September (the same months that DNA happens). If you’d like to join a group at that time, we will have a series of short videos we’d love for you to watch that explain the heart, vision, and commitment of Life Groups! The directory of open groups will be available to you at this time!

Life Groups meet in host homes all over the Greater Cincinnati area. Our directory will list the location of the group so that you can find one close to you!

Life Groups are categorized into either stage of life (examples include Young Adults, Single/Dating/Engaged, Married couples, Family Groups, 40+ groups, etc.) OR are location based (meaning they include all ages and are in a specific neighborhood or area of the city).

We offer Family Groups that meet on the following cadence: Moms on the 2nd week of the month, Dads on the 3rd week of the month, and the entire family (kids included) on the 4th week of the month. Currently, we are unable to offer childcare in addition to this.

Dinner will be provided from a combined effort of those who attend the Life Group. Each Life Group's leaders will be responsible for coordinating dinner between them and their group members. We never want the responsibility of dinner to fall on a few but rather be accomplished from a community effort. Imagine a potluck or family thanksgiving where everyone brings something to share.

Life is busy and we all have many commitments and things we’re juggling, but for Life Groups be fruitful in your life, we believe that they require consistent commitment.
Before you sign up for a group or commit to being a part of one, we want to ask for this commitment to be a prayerful decision in your life. The commitment we’re asking for is this: that you will attend and prioritize being at Life Group every time the group meets and will communicate to your leaders when you’re not going to be able to attend. We’re asking for at least a 3 month commitment, and our leaders will revisit this with you throughout the year!
